About Event

“A good leader can engage in a debate frankly and thoroughly, knowing that at the end he and the other side must be closer, and thus emerge stronger. You don't have that idea when you are arrogant, superficial, and uninformed.”

Cogitation 2K16 is being organised by IMechE SRM Student chapter. This is the platform to expose your communication skills as well as public speaking abilities. In this event, an individual discusses his or her ideas on the ROLE OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS IN SOCIETY with relevant statements. There will a 10-minute speech to persuade followed by 2 minutes of questionnaire round. The competitors deliver an original speech that explains their own ideas and thinking on the given subject, though it must be factual. The ideas can be explained either by speech or also by using a power point presentation. The participant can choose to debate on affirmative or negative. 
There is a judge panel, which keeps track of speakers and judges them on their knowledge, presentation and oratory performance.

Winner will get the cash prize and a direct entry to Present' Em 2k17 a National level presentation event organised by IMechE SRM Student chapter
